“We’ve been searching for nearly two hours, Princess.” Groaned Frostbite.
 
“You can’t call me “Princess” here. Human me is just a teacher.”
 
“Fine. We’ve been searching for nearly two hours, Teacher.”
 
There was a low grumbling. “Sorry, that was me.” apologized Saccharine- “But I am getting hungry…. although, we need to find Aria.”
 
“I prefer food!” Dess argued- “And you call your own mother by her first name?”
 
She shrugged- “She treated me terribly, she even beat me sometimes. We switched from one world to the next until I ran away, permanently staying in Equestria. I haven’t seen her since.”
 
Twilight rubbed Saccharine’s back kindly- “Well, where do you think she could be?”
 
“I don’t know, but I do know that Frost might faint if we don’t get some food.”
 
“SO HUNGRY!”

As the four sat down in the fast food place, Saccharine thought more on what Twilight had asked her: where would her mother be? It was near midnight, in the city, so she would most likely be working one of her minimum wage jobs.
 
“Sparkle!” Twilight went up to the counter to receive their food, catching a glimpse at the worker in the back. “Excuse me, but who is that?”
 
“Who is what?” the worker yawned.
 
“That woman with the purple hair, in the back.”
 
“You mean Aria? She’s kinda a freak. But if you want to see her, then- ARIA!”
 
A disheveled and tired-looking Aria Blaze trudged to the counter, stopping immediatley. “It’s you.”
 
“Aria, I have someone who needs to speak with you.”
 
“Oh yeah? Who, one of my pony-loving sisters? Maybe Sunset Shimmer?”
 
“No. When’s your break?”
 
The cashier checked her watch. “I think it’s in about five minutes.”
 
“Perfect. Could you please meet me outside during your break?”
 
Aria pushed her hair back. “Sure, not like I’ve got anything better to do.”
