This is a headcanon of Attractions and horse behavior. I may go in later to talk about individual species if people are intrested.
 
 

 
General Attraction
 
 
Ponies with Brighter and more diverse patterns are more likely to be found attractive. Especially if they are more adverse. Ponies will find other ponies for different color hues more appealing. They want to stand out from their partner.
 
 
It also plays into a personal attraction but deep down there are instincts they can’t help. Ex: alistair attention always goes to texas because of his bright red and orange hues and texas looks at alistair because of his softer duller blue.
 

 
Ponies who show off and are rather tough(ex:texas) are often more sought after because they are seen as fit and capable as a partner. The bigger and tougher ponies are usually the ones that most ponies will go for. Same goes for ponies with a bigger build(more muscular.)
 
 
Attraction usually goes from different species. A pegasus flexing their wings to a unicorn may not make sense to the unicorn.A unicorn may find a earth pony strength really attractive because they don’t have that.
 
 

 
 
Pegasi flirting and behavior
 
 
For pegassi, when they find someone they deem to be attractive,they will floof and, if they are really not careful, their wings will benign to have a mind of their own. This seems to be an uncontrollable reflex that most pegasi have, but most have mastered hiding it. Ponies such as Rainbow Dash know how to control this while ponies like twilight have no idea how.
 
 
Pegasi will try to flaunt their wing colors like birds do. This really would only make sense to other pegasus or ponies who did their research and what it means.
 
 
Pegasi are very picky with their feathers. They want their feathers to be clean and well kept. A way of them flirting is to let the pony they like groom them.
 
 
Some Pegasi have a thing they do when they see someone attractive. It is another reflex. They will floof out their feathers as a response. This is not only tied to attraction but to fear,anxiety and to make oneself look bigger.
 
 

 
 
Unicorns flirting and behavior
 
 
Unicorns will have a magic reflex. A little spark of magic from their horn is usually it. They are less obvious than Pegasi. Unicorns aren’t the lovey dovey ponies. The way they show their love is more subtle and less physical.
 

 
Unicorns will occasionally “scent mark” they will rub their horns on their partner sometimes to show love. Unicorns take very good care of their horns. Their horns are very important to their daily life, so to let someone touch their horn is a sign of trust and love.
 

 

 
 
Earth ponies flirting and behavior
 
 
Earth ponies are the most subtle. Stallions are usually much bigger than mares so when they see a mare they like they try to make themselves even bigger.
 
Flirting:They are often very sweet when they are flirting. Using pet names and being snuggly.
 
 
Earth Ponies love to groom each other. It’s a sign of deep trust between two ponies. Earth Ponies will try to groom anyone that they trust or love. They also love to nuzzle each other.
