Hullo darlings, and here we have another #ponymakeover!
The customer today is Octavia Melody, nominated by JFalk. Thank you for the suggestion!
As a cellist, I’m sure she often has to follow the strict dresscodes orchestras have, usually a very simple black dress or a pantsuit for ladies. So I wanted to glam her up, so she for once gets to be as dolled up as the audience ;) And looking at her colors, that are a lot more subdued than most ponies, I thought she would be the perfect pony to dress into a roaring 20s’ flappergirl look. The outfits back then were sparkly and had a lot of embroidering and beautiful details, but the colors tended to be either very dark or a very soft shades of champagne or cream or ashes-of-rose. Also metallics, like gold and silver and bronze, were very much in vogue. And those kinds of colors wouldn’t quite fit a bright pastel pony, but look lovely with the earthy tones Octavia has.
I haven’t enough words to describe how much I love 20s’ fashions, from the art deco patterns to the sparkles to the fun fringe hems, and especially the amazing headpieces and opulent accessories. Everything about it makes me happy, so this one was a fun one to do :D
Anyhooves, hope you like it.
New nominations are always welcome!
