A very brave move Rarity did with her hair, truly a fashion statement!

I was like “I really like this but what the heck is up with Rainbow Dash being so pale” and then I realized she’s albino! And that’s so rarely ever represented even among art that doesn’t do white as default, and that’s freaking awesome. Well done artist. I’m certain there are albino pony fans and they would appreciate seeing some genuine representation for once.

She has a side shave, which to be frank is supported by the way the hairstyle appears in canon. If you look at the way her mane is coiffed, it’s always to one side of her head with nothing on the other side… exactly what a side shave would be like.

I’m sure the artist would welcome genuine critique so long as it was actual critique on the art, and not simply disguised complaints of “oh my gosh they aren’t white that’s somehow deeply offensive to me.”
 
Allow me to demonstrate: In terms of critique here Rarity and Rainbow Dash’s right hands stand out as a bit awkwardly shaped. Hands are really, really hard though, so it’s understandable. The shoes on everyone seem a bit awkward too, like less effort was expended there when compared to the faces and the upper bodies.
 
But I’m really liking the differences in body shapes and outfits here. Like how Pinkie Pie has almost no neck, whereas Rarity and Rainbow have longer than usual necks. Not something you usually see people bother to differentiate, even when they do actually do different body shapes, and I mean actually different, not just “this one is slightly thicker therefore her body shape is different despite the shape being exactly the same as everyone else.”
 
I also like the extension of the freckles on Applejack, and poor Fluttershy, she almost looks like her outfit was chosen for her and like she wants to wear more clothes than she is, and that’s part of why she’s hiding her own hands. Besides her general anxiety of course.
 
Really though this is great.
