My only reason for wondering is because this show is based in the future of G4 MLP. Zephyr Breeze was big into style and design, and was still finding new jobs by the end of the season like royal guard. I just think it’d be neat if he figured out how to combine Manehattan with Cloudsdale in his later years.

Zephyr is also the name of a wind, makes sense that it’d be the name of a sky based city.  
I don’t know why people assume its based on the character.

Very impressive; the pegasi is more technologically advanced than in the G4 - even ourselves, in engineering because this city is a mix of skyscrapers, towers, domes and other things that are erected either ON - or OUT - of the bedrock as the heights. The big one in the middle must be the royal castle which is a mix of a skyscraper and a castle tower where Pipp met Sunny and Izzy. In fact, I think there is one or more lifts going through the mountain all the way down to lower land. Probably Zephyr Heights is located 1,000 to 1,500 meters above sea level. High enough to have clouds right in front of their own windows.
 
Only an empire could create something so magnificent, so the pegasi has not forgotten its ancient capabilities as military conquerors. Now the possibility that there are airships (much more advanced than in the G4, perhaps as advanced as in the twenty-first century) in the G5, has multiplied, as airborne communications are emphasized as before.
 
Airborne transport had probably existed up to 2,000 years before the G4, first only with hot air balloons, then airships - and if we were to see G5 airships in the movie or the TV series, they would possibly be hypermodern. In the comics, the words “modern” and “airship” are not seen in the same sentence with very few exceptions, such as the manga based on “The Electric Tale of Pikachu” published by Viz Media, drawn by Toshihiro Ono. There on this manga, the hero went with an airship that seemed to have jet engines, over the open sea in regular traffic. There are lots of sources of inspiration in airship technology in the time from 1950 until now, which can be used.
 
There is only an efficient means of transport around this city when the inhabitants cannot fly; airships.
