Someone gets an idea, others latch on to that idea, it spreads and goes out of control.

The reason everything happens in this fandom: someone goes “Why not?”, followed by others who see him do something and go “Why not?”, then others see those people doing that thing and go “Why not?”, and eventually it turns from an act or just a stray thought into a thing that is applied because that’s what everyone now thinks about or relates to that character.
As for me, I’ll remain to saying “Why not?”. It makes things more amusing.
