I didn’t expect to learn so much about Venus Flytraps lol
Thanks guys, no really. I mean it.
Interesting stuff. I had no idea.
Actually she can easily save herself by just not moving. Venus flytraps will close when something brushes against their hairs, but in the event that they missed their prey, or that it was just debris falling into the leaf, they don’t start releasing digestive fluid until the hairs have been stimulated a couple times after the leaf has closed.
Otherwise it’ll open back up on its own relatively shortly.
Of course Fluttershy may have already triggered the hairs after the leaf closed, particularly with her unfortunately long mane and tail that would make it hard to avoid touching them.
No they’re not. I think they’re absolutely harmless to creatures way bigger than they are. Apparently you can even eat them no problem, according to Google.
Not to my knowledge.
It makes me laugh cause things never change.
Aren’t they poisonous?
I mean I’m not one to hurt innocent plant lives but I could pluck out the Venus Flytrap and pry its mouth open. :P
I don’t think there’s any saving her this time, chief
