The condensation that Twilight is referring to is the rain ball that Rainbow Dash created a few pages ago. When Rainbow Dash jumped up into the air to go fight the storm cloud, that required Pegasus magic to go so fast. Spike even alludes to such when he mentions that RD is talented.
 
Therefore, because Twilight was still wet from getting a face-full of water earlier, Raindow Dash’s fast leap into the air, which required using magic (probably by rapidly ejecting it from her body in a non-lewd way) caused the water on Twilight to gel up and solidify enough to keep her hair in place.

I dunno if I’d say usually, I’ve seen a pretty balanced mix from CBT’s Spike smut. Definitely plenty of gay, usually with Big Mac, but also plenty of straight porn, usually with Big Sunbutt and some occasional Rarity. They probably consider Spike to be at least bi, which is a pretty common headcanon.
 
Also this comic is (loosely) following canon, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect/hope for Spike to stake a claim on Rarity in the next scene based on the original one.

That would be nice, but I believe that the artist usually portrays Spike as being gay in these comics. Nothing wrong with that of course, I’m just pointing it out so you’re not surprised.
