Sunset Shimmer brought the ideas, technologies & blueprints from the world of Equestria Girls (either herself directly, or via ansible book to Queen Twilight Sparkle (who had the power, resources, basic understanding of its potential & the will to “change things”). It took an army of ponies to create the logistical network & sub_industries, but they eventually did it.
 
-> What would be interesting to see is how much “Neo_CyberPunk” or “Techno_Organic” the human world had become in the last centuries, specially with the influx of Equestrian Magic to spice up things (picture Etheria from “She-Ra & The Princesses of Power”… also a NETFLIX animated show).

What I ponder is who could make these cellphones that are as good as our own, and how these could have been possible in a divided world where the three tribes have little contact with each other. Cellphones in our world are a result of the global market where the whole world is involved in the production and use of these. Maybe the leak about changelings as experts in cyber technology has something to do with it? In any case, it is possible that Pipp has been able to have such technology because her mother is perhaps the most powerful and richest pony in Equestria.
 
How could Pipp use such a smartphone with a touch screen when she has hooves instead of hands? perhaps by being able to use wrists to move the hoof, we know from the G4 that ponies have more flexible wrists that they could use to grab objects, than humans.

It’s funny because I’m pretty sure at some point a device that lets you communicate with someone both with video and sound in real time Would have been some futuristic science fiction technology.
