One of my favorite low-key tricks in this webcomic series is to change the context of generic expressions from non-focus characters in a shot. Like the smiles from Fluttershy and Twilight in the last panel.

Rarity: I’ll admit, I *am* looking forward to being back in my natural habitat.
Twilight Sparkle: And we’d better hurry. It seems like this chaotic version of Ponyville runs on an accelerated timeline.
Rainbow Dash: Huh? Y’mean like, why after just one day I was about to be eaten?
Applejack: Goin’ by that logic, Ah’m probably on the verge of boardin’ up the whole Boutique due to poor dress sales.
Rainbow Dash: Well, we can’t have that! That’s where our Rogue hides out! C’mon, Rarity, let’s re-teach you how to make dresses!
Rarity: Rarity gives a skeptical look to the others. “You’re not… actually going to put her in charge of my recovery, are you…? ^{Oh goodness, you are.}”
