That and most ethanol for cleaning and wound dressing is mixed with methanol (a very poisonous alcohol) to make it undrinkable. It is sold as “denatured alcohol” or “methylated spirits.” And 190 proof straight grain alcohol for drinking is available in most jurisdictions. Everclear is a common brand. Though, speaking from experience, taking a shot of it is a bad idea. It burns like hell and will likely make you sick. Stick to 80 proof vodka if you want flavorless liquor.
