Wouldn’t mind if it was the japan version, as I can speak some of it Emphasize on some and it’s kinda hard to hear what would be saying as they would talk so fast x.x
But overall, I can adapt and learn c:
When you are dropped into a situation where nobody speaks your language and there is no way out, one can pick up the native tongue quick enough. Especially if you want to be there, as I assume the brony in question does, he would make an extra effort to learn. I am also sure that somepony would be willing to tutor him at of the kindness of her heart.

It was more of a way of saying “The language is stupidly hard” rather than impossible.
Generally languages from the same groups (Like Polish and Russian or English and German) share many similarities and learning them would go pretty smooth.
It would not be the case for a Brazilian trying to learn Polish however as he would be hit with weird sentence building weird rules and… well weird everything.

No foreign languages were shown in the show as of yet.
Foreign accents yes.
Languages no.
I don’t think that there’s such thing as a language I could never understand, even if I tried. Unless it contains sounds my human vocal chords are not capable of reproducing.
As long as it is a language of earth, there will always be loanwords (except Icelandic, they don’t use loanwords), things that sound similar and observable patterns.
All I need is patience and time.
Have Twilight learn English, if it’s really impossible for me to learn whatever they speak. She’s a frickin’ genius, it won’t take too long, and I’m an excellent non-verbal communicator as it is.
If it’s a russian device, the language is probably russian, they calibrate it for their own use. Since I figured out the root of the problem, I’ll probably doesn’t have much problem rectifying the machine and I could ask russian speaking pony with a bit of sign language and drawing for help cause they will understand the russian schematic better than me.
Try to learn the language day by day, even if it is stupid-hard. It takes a minimum of seven years to master pretty much anything in the world if you try hard enough, you’ll eventually acclimatise.
Heck, my friend’s brother worked alongside some polish folks, learned small-talk in a matter of months.

Listen to Polish Find a Pet and you’ll change your mind
Wait. This isn’t Minecraft.
it also helps knowing lots of base Latin and Greek, which allows a lot of context to be made
