It’s nonsense since this thing was apparently destroyed. In a different dimension. Very disappointing they can’t severe the ties with by far the worst aspect of G4. But with luck, it will be like the random cameos in the finale. I think one of the directors tweeted they had “nothing to their name on the main show”, just a random bone they throw for the sake of reference and that G5 can be its own thing and construct its own identity without feeling the need to completely denature the product by trying to copy Monster High

Well, most folks working at Boulder Media are huge MLP fans! They surely would do their best to make a good job (and they did, in my opinion).
The two maps are very interesting. Either these are regional maps on parts of Equestria, or they show countries outside Equestria. What came close to the large map of an ocean area between two countries or continents is the map from the IDW Movie Prequel in 2017, it is possible that Argyle has located where Abyssinia is located. Very good to see that the animators who are fans of the MLP, have been very busy showing us a lot of new things, based on the G4 lore even though the writers kept this to a minimum in the script.
maybe someone might’ve used another stone or some artifact like the stone to made them forget what really happened.
Edited
Dazzlings in Season 7 = Equestria Girls Canon
Flash Sentry in the castle….seeing Twilight = Equestria Girls Canon
Sunset Shimmer in the epilogue of show = Equestria Girls Canon
The memory stone in G5 (secuel of Friendship is magic) = Equestria Girls Canon
Whether we like Equestria Girls or not, this is canon, I don’t know what more haters want to accept it
