There was once a sub-species of Pegasi known as a Magicus, plural Magisi, they’re a type of Pegasi that is more in touch with magic as Luna’s old followers from before her banishment to the moon. After Luna’s Banishment, they were assigned the role of being the Stars to aid in her escape in 1000 years later. Finally, they made a reappearance after Twilight became Ruler of Equestria as Luna’s Astral Assistants.
Star Catcher is calm and collected, and the leader of the Magisi. She was the one who approached Twilight and was once Luna’s closest confidant. Her role as Leader is symbolised not by jewellery- but rather the markings on her coat.
