How Spike and Twilight met is different from the original.

As Celestia mention Spike had amnesia and barely spoke, he was like an empty shell (kinda like Ven was when he first met Terra and Aqua from KHBBS.), As Twilight was starting her first day at Canterlot Academy as Celestia’s protégé she saw Spike in Celestia’s garden just staring blankly at the sky, she became curious about him and decided to speak to him, by asking him questions Spike just screamed in pain, after that Celestia tells Twilight that Spike has amnesia as he can’t remember anything, so the next day Twilight decided to talk to Spike again but this time she was careful not to ask any questions, she introduce herself and tells him about her life, Spike finally was able to speak to her which made Twilight surprise and happy, as Celestia watch she allow Twilight to visit Spike whenever she wants, they played and spend time together Twilight even introduce Spike to her parents and they became fond of him, Twilight and Celestia was able to educate Spike now that he was starting to get better, teaching him to read, write, and do other things, Twilight was very lonely ever since her brother left town to train at the Royal Knights Academy, so she started treating Spike as family calling him her little brother and was the happiest memory of their lives.
