That’s a pretty good summary, and one of the reasons some artist got fed up with the fandom. Remember Crooked? He draws ponies from time to time because he likes it, but he detest the fandom because they were always either hating on him for absolutely retarded reasons, or demanding he draw this or that because they were the ultimate fans, and it was just a giant clusterfuck that he felt cripple his ability to be motivated to draw. If you have enough people bothering for that to happen, you have a problem.

In part, it was because Cteno was dislike by many people, but because she was a pony they had to just let her be there. When she stopped being a pony and all pictures, records, conversation, etc. were deleted, they finally had a way to remove her, because she was no longer a pony, you see.
 
On the other hand, it is also because it would be like me posting pictures of dragons fucking cars here.
 
Are there dragons in Equestria? Sure, but I don’t recall seeing any dragons fucking cars in it. Should does picture remain here, if their relationship is so tenuous it borders on the breaking point?
