It’s been a while! Sorry about that, I have content and drawings but I just haven’t had the time to really write out the story for them (I’m in bigtime college now). Here’s a shorter piece! (I really love how this turned out too! ^^)

Celestia and Luna ended giving up their power to Twilight, but not all of it. It would just be stupid for the main rulers of Equestria, who have ruled for thousands of years, to give up all control to an inexperienced ruler. The sisters are still huge figureheads, taking care of a lot of the larger duties in Equestria, while Twilight has now stepped up to their level of rule. The princesses have more free time than they did before, but not enough that they can just fly off to who knows where for extended periods of time doing who knows what. They both agreed that their time would be better suited to something that they had already been doing, teaching others. Thus, Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns had been expanded into Celestia and Lunas’ School for the Gifted. More creatures than unicorns have their place in Equestria, with their own magical abilities.

Celestia and Luna’s current focuses (besides their own children) are Star Swirl and Sleepy Hollow, two earth ponies who have an affinity with magic. Star Swirl used to have her mane done like her mom Twilights when she was young (she is now not fond of that fact).
