Of course it’s not, hating means it provokes repulsion, anger, and you actively discourage interaction with something, you don’t hate everything you don’t like, think about food, for example I don’t like green beans, if I have a choice, I would pick something else, however if that’s what it’s available or I’m offered, I’ll eat them and It would be fine, however if someone offers me anything with raw cream, I’ll reject it because I hate it…,kinda the same, if they were to cut a character from the movie and they ask me to chose, I’ll probably choose pip, not because Ihat her but because I prefer Zipp, sunny, Izzy and hitch…

Aren’t “not liked” and “hated” the same definition? They have to be because it shows that people not liking Pipp Petals means they are hating her.

Really? Friends are losing her? Oh, god, it’s like in a nightmare sequence where Pipp Petals’ friends minus Zipp Storm (who is actually her sister) would turn their backs on her. That is the most horrifying thing that COULD happen to her. Without friends, she would NOT understand what friendship is.

Bruh, did you watch a different movie than me? Hitch is the pony of the mane cast who had the most emotional development over the course of the movie. Pipp, as you point out, is mostly just there. Sunny, Izzy, and (to a lesser extent) Zipp get proven to have been right all along. It’s Hitch that follows the same attitude shift that Twilight did over the first two FiM episodes.

Don’t know about anyone else, but I’m getting hella early g4 flashbacks with these discussions, except back then it was Applejack…which basically dogged her all the way to the end. I hope the same doesn’t befall Pipp, because I feel she at least has potential.

I don’t think it will get better. I foresee episodes where her camwhoring will get everyone in trouble. She already did it by livestreaming the captured horn monster and Neanderthal pony. Then will come an intervention and learning experience and she will sacrifice her ratings to help the team. Yay. And next week everything will be back to normal. Phone in front of face.
But who cares. Ultimately her personality won’t sell toys. Only her looks.

Gee. You just judged all the characters by a 90 minutes movie?

Do too much and you get Applejack and Fluttershy in The Movie, Captain Marvel in Avengers, Ann and Makoto in Persona 5, et cetera.

Fortunately, as said, they’ll be in a series later on. :3

Spike and Flash want to talk to you, mate.

Of course one of them had to get the short end of the stick. Pipp just had the misfortune to be the last to join the mane 5.
Certainly this will change a bit when the actuall show airs.

Hitch and Pipp were basically just tag alongs. Pipp could have had a more developed sibling rivalry with Zipp, but the movie didn’t have the time or didn’t take the time to give it more than one scene. Combine that with how much she was hyped up in the promo material and she is just a huge disappointment all around. Everything we saw before the movie came out implied she was the main pegasus character. The reality was that Zipp was a total sleeper star and at least in my mind, completely stole the show by being a surprisingly great little pony.

So, yeah. You could kick Pipp and Hitch to the curb and I would not miss them in the slightest. Gimme all the Zipp and IzzyScout.

Exactly. Most of the comments on the voting post were basically “I do like her, but she got the least character development of all, so I’m voting for her”.

She only really got one moment where her character truly gets to shine, and beyond that she largely took a backseat to the plot, so it’s not much of a surprise that the pony we saw the least of is most people’s least favorite.

Why are people hating Pipp Petals? She did nothing wrong. I think she should get more attention like her group.
