I feel like I should explain that there was a time in history where being offended by something like this was considered rare and out of place. The truth of the matter is our mindset on age of consent is entirely dependent on where we live and by extension the values we are taught as part of a society.

That said using logic and not feelings one could technically make the argument that age really is just a number, for example if we’re raised in a society that deems it legal by law to marry or engage in sexual activity at age 14 and we grow up under these laws, then we won’t see a problem with it. Morals are personally held by each individual and largely depend on how you as an individual grow and what you are personally taught is right or wrong growing up, no matter which way you slice it its all dependent on how we grow.
