Not only emotional and psychiatric, but also nature-related, the Apple Family is all earth pony, and they have apple-related Cutie Marks. (Hayseed Turnip Truck has 3 turnips as his cutie-mark, but it’s still nature-related)
Generally speaking, they are portrayed as competitive. But, they are also shown to be quite noble.
The breed does not always reflect their temperament, there are exceptions. It’s just how the show portrays most of them. It could be due to their culture or upbringing. Certain breed of dogs are raised for certain purposes. And certain purposes generally require certain temperament.
Scootaloo is not able to fly even though she is a Pegasus. Donut Joe is a full grown unicorn from magic central Canterlot, but he is never at any moment shown to use magic, not even telekinesis.
And pegasi are good at… being competitive?
Actually, I think they’re the most aggressive breed of pony.
Earth Ponies are either good at Physical labor or “caretaker” jobs that include dealing with animals or other ponies.
Pinkie Pie for example is very talented at making others smile.
@SeraphimDawn
It does make sense.
While unicorns are good with logistics and magic. Some Earth Ponies such as Pinkie Pie appear to have some sort of sixth sense.
For some reason, Earth Ponies are good at that. Emotional/psychiatric talents. Maybe that is why many nurses are earth ponies.
>Empathy
Now that’s actually quite nice and different.Reminds me a little bit of Cheerilee’s explanation of her cutie mark. Not completely literal, but still fitting.
Yeah, the blue was pretty intense in retrospect. I have a poor eye for color, so thank goodness for Google and the “pastel blue” search ;)
Anywho, Clutterstep doesn’t excel at physical talent. He’s got a gift for empathy and is at his best when helping others remember what’s important or helping them achieve their goals.
Like what Amber said. Great improvement in the colours, not like the, admittedly, eye sore sharp blue you used to use on this guy. Looks more show accurate than before.
What exactly is his talent, know how he acquired his Cutie Mark from your comic strip.

I was wondering was his cutie mark supposed to be,I know is heart shaped, but I thought it was some sort of shield? I could suggest to put the little red dots back.It doesn’t really made it look to busy, while the weird luminescence it had around was the one that made it over-detailed.
The mark on his eye, though…I still say is way too distracting, but if this mark happens to be important to your story, why not put it on a different place? like one of his forearms, for example?
Thanks for the compliment. As far as Clutterstep’s concerned, that’s just a birthmark. In reality, he had a bad fall when he was a foal and that mark is residual magic that was used to heal him.
And wait… Roboshi’s a real person? Who is this mythic figure?
Btw, he looks like Roboshi, one of our Ponibooru/Derpibooru members who keeps faving stuff.
Out of curiosity, is the ring on his eye a birthmark?
Not a bad looking oc.
