The whole episode was based on an idiot plot: that Rainbow Dash would be stupid or a such a jackass enough to ignore her friend’s warnings and steal an untested potion just so she could go faster.
And what should have been most of the episode, Dash dealing with the aftermath, was shoehorned in at the end of the episode because, obviously, we needed a crossover with the Powerpuff Girls by someone who’s barely watched the show.
Made realize how Lauren/Craig and crew have made/led/write/produce etc certain cartoons that have we grew up with. Particularly memorable ones to boot if you can recognize and name them by heart. That said, I enjoyed it
Instead of the crossover, they should have just put up a title card reading “WE RAN OUT OF IDEAS.”
You can’t call it a pony episode when it’s written in ways the show never has been. MLP never stooped to lazy memes and refences in place of actual writing.

The thing is named “Double Rainboom” it was resorting to memes since day one.
Well, they did say it featured show accurate animation. They just never specified which show.
Yup thats my beef with it, had it been advertised as a crossover, I’d have liked it more, I hate being lied to.
just hide them, they have they own tag: “double rainboom drama”

I did frowned at the Xover.
Maybe it was a lack of ideas, inspirations, or something.
Anyway, once I just let go of expectaions and just took it as what it is, I enjoyed it.
And Oxiclean promises to remove all those tough stains. Sometimes you don’t get what was advertised.
