I think we’re thinking alike. Sonata doesn’t have the worries and uncertainities that teenagers have (and Aria has in spades), so it’s a child-like mentality in many ways. So 10, 12, 13? Somewhere in there. Bearing in mind that siren mentalities probably don’t work exactly like humans or ponies.

I think Sonata would be overwhelmed with joy if Smoothie took her out for ice cream (especially if it had sprinkles on it). Aria would be hung up on wondering “why ice cream” if Tokamak did that, altho she would enjoy the ice cream.

Altho it would be hard to work that scenario into what’s fundamentally a pr0n story.

Aria: Yes.
Sonata: Why?
Aria: Because fuck you that’s why.

Aria smoking cigarettes is now canon.

In my headcanon, Aria is mentally in her mid-teens (obvious she’s not physically). She’s full of angst, rebellious, trying to figure out where she fits into society. She smokes not because she likes it, but because it’s not approved of by everyone else. (the Random Green Dude, aka Tokamak, understands where her head is at, which is why she trusts him. He’ll probably get her to quit smoking.)

FWIW, in my headcanon Sonata is about 10 mentally - anything new is fun and exciting and she has little concept of the future or of consequences, so she’s up for most anything. And like any 10 year old, she can’t be seperated from her phone/gameboy/whatever when there’s nothing else to do, as we see here.

And Dagi is late 20’s mentally. She knows both her sisters need a mother/authority figure (even tho Aria would loudly deny it) and even tho she hates being that one, she fills the role because there’s no-one else to do it.
