That’s a bit optimistic. I think we’ll be lucky to see her again halfway into season 1. That’s how most cartoons go these days: First half of season one is just random shenanigans before things get serious.

It’s possible that they could release the episodes on a weekly timeline instead. Netflix does allow shows to be released in such a manner, after all. They are well aware that it helps to space things out.

Just two more months until the series starts. Unfortunately it’s on Netflix so they will likely drop 12 episodes at once. Which means the episodes won’t get as much attention if they had aired once a week and live commentary by use of chat isn’t possible with then just dropping instead of airing on a tv channel.

That and we have to wait longer between episodes. Sure you can watch them at your own pace but then you wouldn’t be keeping up with the fandom.

Honestly, who knows. Given that she was revealed at the end of the special, however, I do believe she will have a role in the first two episodes of the series, similar to how Nightmare Moon was the antagonist of the first two episodes of ‘Friendship is Magic’.

Wonder how long it is gonna take for this mare to do anything.

Yeah, that’s true. I was mostly just referring to the largest streaming services.

While most have that, there’s some that don’t. Or at least that was the case a few years ago. They might have updated those since to match the other streaming sites. The last I was subscribed to Rooster Teeth for example, I could take screenshots.

For this reason (along with a few others) I always look at pirated versions of the special, instead of the official Netflix version. Also, this ‘disabled screenshot’ thing is a feature on just about all streaming services, as they don’t want people to make recordings of their copyrighted content. For me it has always been an annoyance, since screenshotting videos on such streaming services was allowed in the past. It is only recently that streaming companies have started to make it much harder to take screenshots.
