As someone who liked Teen Titans, and did not like Teen Titans Go!…
I’d say that TTG succeeded, but with an almost entirely different audience than had watched TT years earlier. Felt to me like there was not much overlap between their audience bases.

I’m just saying pal, saying that you don’t like G5 doesn’t mean that it “failed”, that’s like saying Teen Titans Go! failed as a show because of all the hate it has despite the massive popularity and ratings it gave to Cartoon Network.
G4’s success was always gonna be hard to follow no matter what so it was always gonna be a tall hurdle to clear, and G5 didn’t need to be like FIM at all, it is its own thing despite the connections it has to its predecessor. Just by looking at the popularity that Make Your Mark and Tell Your Tale has with both the target audience and the brony fandom, and that it brought newcomers to the adult MLP fandom, it is far and away from a failure.
It would’ve been better if you just bluntly said that you didn’t like G5 and leave it at that and if it does bother you so much, then filtering the entire tag sounds like the best course of action.

Hasbro can keep making new mlp TV series in the future but I think fim is likely a ‘one time only miracle’ that Hasbro accidentally got right for once.
Hasbro might not repeat that ‘miracle’ with mlp ever again and G5 is proof of that as the G5 series has failed.
G1 to G3.5 was bad, G4 was nearly perfect expect for the ‘Fake Grogar’ thing, G4.5, G5 and G5.5 (Tell Your Tale) was bad.
See the pattern here?
I’ll be surprised if Hasbro pulls off another ‘miracle’ with G6 in the future but for now mlp sucks again because G5 is bad.
G1 was bad? Guessing you’re not an 80s/90s kid, then? ’Cos G1 is well-loved among peeps who saw it before G3 existed…
Also, the first EqG movies were good. Can’t comment on the EqG series as I never saw it.
This just seems like a lot of stuff from somepony who loves FiM and hates all other MLP works for NOT being FiM…

My comment referred to the franchise as a whole ceasing to go on like no more reboots, or generations, it doesn’t have anything to do with the overall quality. But seeing that it is a multi-million dollar property like Hasbro’s other IP Transformers, I doubt that it’s gonna end and it’s gonna keep going on for as long as it makes them bank, doesn’t matter if it’ll be good or not.

Same. After powering though season one for the first time when checking out the show (this was in the inter-season break back in 2011, in case you weren’t aware), I didn’t think they’d have enough friendship lessons to cover an entire other season of the show. Although I found season two a chore to get through, I’m glad the show continued on after that.
