Unusual time for upload, but I want this to go live in June, and it’s still where I am.

I wanted to draw something for Pride Month, but me being forgetful and not knowing what to draw took me till the last minute to make something. But I decided to draw something that explores one of my original characters, Ebony Rose from my gang of bat pony OCs.

If there’s any character of mine whose sexuality had an affect on their backstory, she is one of them. Her family wasn’t accepting. Not just her being asexual, but just generally how she choosed to live her life. It’s not like she is against the idea of one day getting married and adopting a foal or two, but currently she’s happy with her music and friend group. However, her parents want her to be a “proper” heir to the family business. A heir that makes sure to have a future heir for the family.

I have always been a fan of the ‘found family dynamic’ in stories. Where people found the love of a family, from a friend group. That’s why for this one I also included my het characters from the ‘story’. They love and support Ebony who she is, not what she “should” be.

And yes, the title is absolutly a play on words.
