In all sincerity, every time we’ve seen Ponyville it’s always looked like a place where most only survive for a confused and baffling month then are wiped out by some horrific accident or monster from the beyond. There’s so many things that happen that remind me; “Oh, yeah, this is a town run by horses.”

Seems like a great place to retire!

To my recollection, all of them have had at least one. Applejack is the least guilty of anything, but she was just as responsible for almost killing Yona as Rainbow Dash would have been. So, multiple counts of child endangerment that could have been negligent homicide. Basically, it’s VERY good they’re friends with the person who has absolute power over that country :P

Say whatever you want about Lightning Dust, but she actually admitted it was wrong to endanger the Mane Six. The three times Dashie just wanton endangered innocent ponies for entirely selfish reasons, she blamed other people for her actions (Wonderbolts Academy), dodged the blame because her friends benefited from the outcome (Tanks For The Memories), or lied about her actions and intentions to get what she wanted out of it (Non-Compete Clause). Folks can think Lightning Dust is a bad pony all they want, but by every metric that Lightning Dust is bad Rainbow Dash is worse :P

I scaled the entire Mane Six on a bad day worse than either of those two. I’ve always been pretty open about how Trixie and Lightning Dust really aren’t bad people, and how almost everything they’ve ever done “wrong” was the directly or indirectly the fault of others and that they were just unfairly blamed for it XD

The best way I’ve thought of it is that the easiest way to deconstruct MLP’s story, characters and world is to take what Trixie’s been through at face value and extrapolating from there.

Does your continuity have any sort of ‘Someone from the Mane 6 or one of the princesses does the bare minimum and acknowledges that what she’s been through was bad and that she’s not going crazy for being sad/frustrated/angry about it.’

I’m a sucker for characters learning that the bare minimum is incredibly important to the healing process.

Damn, Trixie must’ve taken cooking lessons from Sweetie Belle, if you catch my drift.

The best part is Trixie doesn’t know Lightning Dust. She doesn’t know OF Lightning Dust. She’s not doing this for “payback”, or because she thinks Lightning Dust is bad, or to start a fight, or even to give Rainbow Dash a cheap laugh. She’s just being Trixie: she just saw some pony wearing a goofy set of tights and yelled “HAHA LOOKIT THIS GUY!” XD

Honestly, she’s kind of not. Like, she even owned up to how it was wrong of her to endanger Dash’s friends, and while it might have been disingenuous it really wasn’t her fault that happened. She basically totally moved on with her life, which honestly shows she’s really not that bad a person at heart. Dash has always been the grudge holder, and Dash is the one who instigated the whole conflict. Especially ironic that she’s giving Lightning Dust shit about being dangerous to the kids under her care, since this happened a week after Dash and Applejack almost killed Yona on a field trip by only caring about themselves. Glass houses and all that, Dashie :P

Good old Trixie. Always reactive, and every bad thing she’s ever done has been done worse by a member of the Mane Six, yet she’s the jerk. 100% because the show is told from the perspective of the Mane Six. You could take Ali Mills’ quote about Johnny and Daniel from Cobra Kai, and apply it to them:

Honestly, neither of them are bad folks overall. If you were to lay out a spectrum, of 0 being good, 5 being Mane Six on a bad day, and 10 being Season 9 Discord, Trixie would be like a 2, maybe 3 tops, and Lightning Dust a 1 :P
