It’s been a long time, but the crew of Equestrian Tales, the longest surviving fan animation team has returned to finish the story we started.
This song is about the midpoint of part 1 of the pilot, these two characters just met a short time before, and they do not like each other at first but through the song, they realize they have more in common than they realized, and at the end come out of the song at the start of their friendship. We start as a solo song each singing by themselves, then they start to play off each other as they find common ground, and finally into a duet as they become friends.
This is a full original song inspired by the style of Danial Ingram to pay respect to Friendship is Magic, as well as a Disney tune, I will leave that open, and see if anyone can guess what one. Singing is Caleb Hyles (Tall Tale) and Wubcake (Ink Heart), composed by Bluebrony, and written by myself and Troy Hart (Stabletech studios) who was part of this at its beginning.
This for those that have not seen posts in the past is just a small part of a pilot episode being built right now with voice talents from the fandom, youtube stars, and some FiM voice talent. We originally intended this to be fully animated, but covid had shut down a lot of our ability to do so at the time. We are now reviving it as a motion comic, and a possible return to animation in the future if it’s well taken.
We will be releasing a community discord this week as well as other ways to become involved in the development of the series that will follow the pilot here. This is the first of many future songs.
There will be a lot of posts from us in the coming days of new characters, locations, animation sheets, and all that might we hope respark some interest in the project. We are hoping to release the first episode of the motion comic sometime around ciderfest, if there are any delays we will of course post them.
