It’s a drawing that made me smile a lot, even when just creating it, even more so now that it is finished. And that was the sole purpose I had in mind when I drew this: creating something that would make people smile upon seeing it. I hope you like it too! ^^
These are my two OCs: Lonesome Lime (“Luli”, on the left) and Carefree (“Carrie”, on the right). Carrie is married to Luli’s brother, but he’s become a cranky, deadpan stallion over the years and only focuses on his work as an archaeologist. Carrie feels neglected and often needs to just let out all her frustration and vent to someone. Thankfully, she found a friend in Luli: this sweet, introverted mare is a wonderful listener, she never gets tired of hearing Carrie’s complaints and she always has words of advice or comfort for her friend. On the other hand, Carrie’s liveliness and exhuberance help Luli come out of her shell and feel at ease in various situations where she normally wouldn’t (and to which Carrie often drags her, because, she says “Otherwise she’d never leave her Japanese zen garden!”): in a crowd, at an art exhibition, shopping for clothes…
There’s truly a special chemistry between them! u
You can find both horses’ reference sheets in my gallery.
This was loosely based on Twilight hugging Moondancer at the end of “Amending Fences”.
