The only similarities are that they are towers with pointed roofs. But not even the same type of roof since the Canterlot tower has windows in its roof. But then there’s also a distinc lack of windows and balconies all over it. Then there’s also the part where the canterlot tower doesn’t stand on the mountain proper, but on a platform that hangs far over the edge, which is on another platform hanging over the edge. +There’s a bunch of extra towers around it.
While there are a few differences, this almost certainly has to be the tallest tower on the left in the gif.
