Not to mention her room is tiny and only has one shelf with barely anything on it, her rug is torn in places. And her bed has only one flattened pillow and one thin blanket (only for a second pillow to pop up in the next shot). And no fireplace, just three candles with no tinder to light them. The winters must have been harsh.
Meanwhile, Sunny and company have a large shared bedroom with big beds with tons of pillows and spare sheets (which they’d be happy to share). Imagine how happy Misty’s going to be when they ask her to move in and provide her with everything she needs.
A tragic life makes that happy ending all the more impactful.

The fact her pillow and blanket look like they’ve been patched together repeatedly, her bed looks like something a pet would use and the only decoration is an old child drawing of Opaline is all great visual storytelling.
Opaline literally only sees Misty as a tool and did nothing for Misty in her childhood, but basically just keep her alive so she could use her later and Misty just accepts it because she had no one else, but Opaline.
