I do tend to go back and forth a bit on where exactly it fits myself, but, truthfully, I like setting things around the finale point because then you have the full range of their adventures and experiences and show related stuff to draw on. Plus you never have to throw out a fun idea because a character hasn’t been introduced yet or some event hasn’t happened.

Fun fact, when I was debating how that little scene should end, I came very close to going with the three of them (Sunset, Starlight, and Sunburst) swapping genders instead, due to the magic exposure. A missed opportunity, sadly, although I do still like how the posted version came out.

Well, my thinking was that the transformation would only temporary, and limited to that location (or nearby). Also, it’s not so much that she’s now a human in Equestria as it is that aspects of the human dimension are seeping through the dimensional barrier and extending into Equestria, and Sunset was transformed where the other two were not due to her having been over on that other side for a long period of time.

Although… thinking about it, I bet if Princess Twilight and Sci-Twi put their heads together and studied this phenomenon, they could figure out a way to make a localized dimensional bubble that would allow them to appear in each other’s dimension in their native form for a short period of time. That seems like the kind of thing they’d be eager to try.

So does that mean she’ll be a pregnant pony in the human world?

It’s funny, for the longest time I was wondering whether to set this before or after the events of the series finale.

It’s also funny you should post this just as another installment is being posted.

“That the outpouring of magic here has weakened the dimensional barrier to the breaking point?”


“That the mirror universe is bleeding into our own, and has temporarily reverted you to another form?”

LOL That works in the show’s established canon. If the Slice of Life episode is an indicator, it wouldn’t be the first time.

It’s definitely been a lot of fun helping to shape this story. I’m glad to have been a part of it.

I’d like to think the mane six are battling some villain off camera, and have no idea what Sunset and Starlight are up to otherwise.

Duly noted. I found the cover art enjoyable.

Originally was going to use a background of Ponyville or some other location from the show. But it just seemed to detract from the characters in the limited space available. So went with a good old fashioned rainbow. The show is kinda synonymous with them.

The cover art reminds me of those kids’ toy commercials you’d see either on TV or magazines.
