Filly-Twilight: My big Brother is a Royal Guard, so a sheriff is below the Royal Guard and the Cop, Well Sheriff are low class of Cop and we see a Sheriff only in small town but is not easy job for sure and more when you are the only pony to make sure Pony fellow the law!

But what about “Father Knows Beast”? Spike explicitly stated in that episode that Twilight was the one who raised him. Spike even implying that Twilight isn’t his real parent was what literally broke her heart - there was an x-ray and everything in that scene.

They can be both Parent/Child & Brother/Sister (in spirit, not literally) due to how unorthodox their relationship is and how much they’ve relied on each other throughout the years.
