This feels just like Equestria collapsed shortly after The last problem.
A continuous loop of ponies forgetting that they were equal to each other suddenly like in the Ending of the End.

Discord going against magic becuase one of filly said something mean to Fluttershy thousands of years ago is the stupidest plot ever written for him. He lives thanks to magic, he would ever go this berserk about this issue if magic itself killed Fluttershy or their child. But of course they don’t have access to deeper storytelling so they made him do stupid stuff for petty reasons like they did in S9.

Is this a thing? Is people on this fandom shitting on G5 just because they don’t like its somber premise? They said it was oriented to an older audience back when the first leaks appeared, go figure.

Pointless? Personally - and only personally - I don’t think so. After all it’s business. It may be a bit silly but not pointless.
That said, ultimately, canon and lore depends on the person. I may have been too brash on expressing myself.

Water Lily’s still the one who started it (or so it seems, I dunno).
The other one been simply batshit-crazed by a brutal, if exaggerated PTSD, which could be even worse than a random rancid racist filly.
Luckily for all the fandom, this has to be an alternate timeline, because, man, IMHO, this story brings the lameness of that Equestria Girls comic with Rainbow Dash losing all the competitions to a brand new level.
