Rarity actually. I really wanted to draw a pony on a Chapelon 240P, and figured she would best fit. they also had a white paint scheme, back when owned by Paris-Orleans Railway. The ones later built by SNCF (Such as this one, much less exposed piping to fuck with) were dark green. Unfortunately, all were scrapped, “ostensibly because of weak frames (which was true of the “240A’s” but not the “240P’s”), but allegedly because the PLM-dominated SNCF senior management at thhat time did not favour PO based-designs and wanted an excuse to build the PLM-based “241P’s”.”

I did read Tigers in the Mud as well. (So I’m sure you know that those soviet tank crews were in no way expecting a battle: weren’t even in tanks at the village, and had their guns in travel lock in the ambush) Yes, both tanks had their advantages. Tiger was vastly superiour in terms of handling and storing the shell, and significantly better optics. And of course, Germany had some of the best crews anywhere, and Russians some of the worst. Quality of armour was another factor; german armour was less brittle and more resistant to spalling, but this slowly reversed as Soviets captured metal supplies.

True, the IS-2 was not much more mobile than Tiger, but that’s due to weaker engine, it still was 10 tonnes lighter with just as thick armour. All in all though, I think the IS-2 could have a greater affect if used properly.

Meh Otto Carius took out a battlion of them shits XD he had only 8 tigers~ Yeah well take shit tanks and spam them the I series was eventually out done. Even by the Americans. Had good gun that was about it. third in the generation was good. still was tactically inferior lacked mobility and had weighed to much. This is not an easy question because there are many factors involved. Now if this is a normal combat situation you must take into account firing position (Hull down, Turret down, etc), distance, servicability, morale and the most important, Who saw Who first. In this situation I would give the germans a little bit more of the upper hand because of the training system. This gave them better adaptability to different situations.

Lets say you have a nice open, flat field with one tank at each end situated 1000m apart and on the command “go” they attacked each other, I would also give it to the Germans. I am basing this on the Germans Optics, Single part round (IS2 had 2 part round) and the fact that they 88 had an extremly fast velocity and penetration ability. Back to the whole series? Well there only good for mass attack because numbers

Hehehe…really, I think the IS-2 was the war’s best heavy tank. Yes, it had abysmal fire rate/ammo storage, but, it’s cannon was extremely effective against all kinds of targets, not specialized for one or the other.

Yup tigers had advantages only at long range. Shermans come in mass and swarm them. American tanks sucked dick honestly if the German panzer army had as many tigers for shermans there be very bad pickle right there. Also if the German airforce was not fucked as bad they of givin there tanks close support, All in the end they lost to shit leader wih bad tactics. Thus ends another good chat. Ever see how people fight on youtube when you watch anything slightly related to ww2? That shit just gets sad. XD

90% of a tank’s targets are only affectd by HE shells. As such, larger diameter and/or lower velocity guns (Higher velocity means the shell wall must be thicker, thus carries less explosive, one reason why Patton hated 76mm Shermans) are more effective.

King Tigers were best for defensive war all German tanks were ment for full blow open land battles not urban fights.

Tiger II? As in the King Tiger?

That overpriced hunk of steel that broke down even more than its predecessor, was too heavy to travel offroad effectively, and consumed more fuel than could possibly be supplied to it?

Initial mechanical issues aside, the Panther was a much more reliable tank because it wasn’t quite so fucking heavy and was less complicated internally (which also allowed it to be produced at a much higher rate than most other German armor). Add in its mobility and it’s extremely effective over all and easily compareable to the Tiger series.

Wrong, it’s Panther II, not a good attacker, it a medium tank, lol

I take Tiger II.
