I honestly feel the episode would’ve been better if Teddy had set up the prank ahead of time by tangling his rubber toy in kelp or something instead of directly going after the Dream Team during their performance. That way they could be more believably disqualified and Teddy could more reasonably fail to realize the ramifications of his prank until it’s too late.
