No no no, it’s G1. The titles are based on the toyline they are connected to and G2 didn’t have one.
If you consider MLP only by cartoons, then yes, it is G2 (but then FIM is G5-G6 !). Officialy: MLP Tales ran in 1992, G2 started in 1997.. Why can’t people first use at least Google before they wrote something like this? :(
