The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

@Niggoslav_Krawczyk
…Or maybe we’re people with hope that the season three finale is gonna be the “rock bottom” episode and that the writers, seeing as they now have a full season instead of the stupid half season we had for season three, won’t try to compress what should have been the overarching plotline of the entire season (Twilight screws up a spell and switches everyone’s souls (and/or alters their memories) and then they all have to try to cope while they look for a cure) into one episode.

Truth be told, that’s probably what they intended to have happen considering that many of the season three episodes seem like they were a “character rediscovers what made them who they were in the first place” episode that was hastily changed into an episode completely removed from any extended plot. for example:

Keep Calm And Flutter On: Fluttershy has to convince the god of chaos to be nicer.

Wonderbolts Academy: Rainbow Dash goes to train with The Wonderbolts.

Apple Family Reunion: Applejack rediscovers that family is the most important thing to her, and to not let things get in the way of that.

Magic Duel: Twilight has to overcome a pony through pure magical ability, fails, and studies to become better.

Too Many Pinkie Pies: Pinkie Pie is reminded that the thing that makes her the happiest is making others happy.

The only pony that didn’t have an episode where they rediscover what made them special was rarity, and the crystal empire could quite easily have been originally intended to be rarity’s time to save the day for once by finding the crystal heart or fighting off Sombra or something to make her look at least as useful as Fluttershy, because at this point in time Rarity is the lowest rung on the ladder.

My point is, they all had an episode that could have easily been an episode where they decide “screw what the cutie mark says, this is what I was meant to do.” and in my opinion ALL of these episodes had issues with pacing (including the finale, but that one is a unanimous vote for pacing issues); something that tends to go out the window first when rewriting a script in haste due to the show’s run-time being cut in half.

P.S. MLP is apparently the second result on google when you search “season three episodes”.

Nah I think it’s more about the craven betrayal of the originating principles of the new show. It was kind of blatant and handled in the most trollacious way possible. The only ones remaining are either masochists or simply gluttons for punishment.

Oh, someone complaining about season 3?
Reminds me of Whovians complaining about Matt Smith when he first appeared in the series as the Eleventh Doctor.
Also reminds me of people bitching about The Simpsons after season 9. … Okay, that one might be a bit more justified.

What would be worse than being 8 years old and stating to lose faith on the greatest of all generations, it’s being male.

Hasbro, were losing them god damnit!

Well… It´s hard to like it… Since it isn´t funny… Or interesting… Or cute.

Oh wait… It says “season”… Damn, I got it wrong. I thought it was about the GENERATIONS. And honestly? It makes much more sense! I mean, then this person is 6-7 now? Wtf. I´m confused.

Since I was born in the 80´s, I can say this is kinda true for me. Even though I´d never had G1 and G2 toys, I watched the cartoons and enjoyed it.

But then, with G3… I was like… Wut.
