Honestly, the only way I could ever see these two “shipped” is in a Frollo/Esmeralda dynamic. Opaline is angry at how attracted she is to this earth pony who is completely beneath her…and yet she’d burn down all of Maretime Bay to get him all for herself–
What I’d like to see is a rivalry. Getting Sparky kidnapped is probably the worst thing Opaline’s done to somepony in the Mane 5, especially given what she wants to do with him, and especially with how devastated it made Hitch.
I wanna see him show all that aggression he showed in his hilarious Batman impression but like. It’s not a joke. Genuinely going full-on Papa Bear on Opaline for TAKING HIS BABY 😤
