Thematically that fits better, but their personalities don’t match up well. Rarity would fit much better as Ruel (greed) or Amalia (her obsession with shopping and aversion to discomfort, etc.) Spike could also make a decent Ruel if he were older.
 
RD as Sadlygrove is right on, though.
 
Twilight and Spike could stand in for Yugo and Adamai, with Owlowysius being Az.
