Maybe like a puppet fighter.
Control one of the body parts, press the magic button to swap which one you’re controlling.
Different moves for each body part, head or body.

Honestly, that sounds pretty unique for a fighting game.
A long, agile head that you actually control, fight and block with… but a body that mostly stands there unless you do some much harder combo moves.
Not sure it would be fun to actually play, but would be original!
