Smoker’s PCs are the worst. A greasy, brown sticky dust all over the interior. It makes me worry what their lungs look like :(

In addition to the main PC, I have 4 more. One of them is the ancient dualcore E8500 paired with 9600gt, and the other is Athlon x64 of the 2001 edition. Both are needed for work tasks, so they still haven’t retired)

FWIW, some of us are still running them, or sometimes even much older PCs, for use with industrial equipment.

I’ve got one of these ancient babies to run my instrumentation with GPIB connections. It was free, it works, and it keeps my programming chops up to snuff. It’s also one of the more modern items in my electronics lab. LoL
