Nothing helped. It was of no use – not her magic shields, not the antidote, nor the reverse spells. Nothing could change fate. The fight against the Dazzlings was arduous, and she even let herself go into Midnight Sparkle again just to tap into power so she could stop them. However, it was all for naught. Stripped clean of her magic and at the mercy of the sea currents and the effects of the now overwhelming spell, Sci-Twi watched in despair as her beautiful, toned legs morphed into a mermaid tail. She cried as thousands of small scales broke off her skin and started covering her from toe to waist. She wriggled in discomfort as a membranous fin enveloped her hourglass waistline, firmly signaling where the woman ended and the sea-creature began. Sci-Twi couldn’t help but clutch her hands to her body while her lungs disappeared, and new gills formed around her neck. She tried to scream, but only bubbles came out – the last air she would breathe, for she was now a daughter of the sea.
