I think this episode nailed exactly how post-ANG Sprout should be - kind of a dick, but strangely charming, probably because he’s completely harmless now, and also is perhaps trying to be better? I think along those same lines, the episode gave him more respect than the movie, but not much more, which I thought was spot-on as well.

I mean, I would love an episode drilling down into the numerous issues with him and his mom, but at the same time, his story is basically over, as he served his purpose in the movie’s story (that even an ordinary pony like him could be incredibly destructive with the right motivation and access to the levers of power).
I honestly wouldn’t mind if he keeps popping up from time to time like this in MYM, with this personality
Now Phyllis, I think both series seem to be completely done with (except for cameos), considering she hasn’t had a speaking role since episode 5 of TYT, and never in MYM.
i kinda hope we do get some sorta episode were he at least finally aknolages his issues, the main question is will he fix them

I don’t even read it as him being prideful. A whole book could be written on all the complexes and insecurities swirling around in his head, but I don’t think pride is one of them. He just says boastful things these days to help himself feel like he has some control in his life. The main pony he’s trying to convince is himself.
All of his personality problems could be solved with some therapy and a really good hug.

That’s pretty much how I read his character now. He’s still loud, prideful and a bit of a prick but his heart is ultimately in the right place. Plus he can do a good deed from time to time.

Hasn’t appeared in Tell Your Tale whatsoever aside from on a poster, even after he appeared in Make Your Mark Chapter 2, whereas every single character from A New Generation has appeared in TYT… It’s a huge disappointment for the 6th main character from the movie, who even became part of the main group at the end of the video game and had his own song and renders for A New Generation…

Why would we not see him again? If you go back and look at it, he actually came back almost exactly as fast as Luna did, and way faster than Trixie did. They know we love him.
