Xander was a good-natured wasteland doctor whose tribe attempted to cultivate killing joke to grant themselves special powers. This backfired horribly and instead of being able to heal others through touch as he had wanted, Xander wound up feeling only pain when touching others unless he was causing them pain. While he tried to stay true to his nature his curse broke him and he turned to vicious raiderdom.
