That’s an interesting take on Twilight. It falls heavily in the direction of a more adult-based hindsight - in that it feels like, as we get older and our scope of vision expands, it feels more and more easy to feel like we should’ve made a different choice at a given time, regardless of the immediate emotions or experiences we had in result of the choice we did make. By which I mean, I sincerely don’t think Twilight would have any real regrets in the way she spent her time when young, since at that point she sincerely enjoyed keeping to herself and indulging in her studies, and in many ways that was not a negative manner to exist in. However, I can imagine her perceiving regrets about this time once she’s old enough, as she begins to wonder about them for lack of having any actual experience with them. If… that doesn’t sound like a long-winded description of what just typically happens.  _^__^;

I agree with your take on Rarity, though I’d believe her maintaining greater positivity would depend on whether her focus regarding the situation mostly stays on inspiration she gains from the matter. I just imagine her perception of it being childish could work to diminish the view she has of the matter if she focuses too much on the aspect that she’s currently stitching an adult-size foal-style onesie - though she’d either way still be glad to be assisting with her one of her friends’ interests in a way that only she really can. (I mean, technically they might me able to go to another couture specialist for the matter, but that would likely devolve into an extremely awkward conversation - save perhaps around Nightmare Night - and thus that interaction would be much, much easier held with an understanding friend, that being Rarity in this case.)

I can definitely see Applejack’s responsible side being brought to the spotlight here! Which isn’t far from a shade of mother - considerate, astute, good at reading the situation, generally reacting calmly, quickly, and efficiently, and of course however much direct experience she has with taking care of whichever farm creatures she’s responsible for, would give her a lot of good marks for being the one who gets put in charge of friends in their altered state. However, for all of that responsibility and ‘adultness’ she has, I can’t imagine her not approaching the situation with some held degree of ‘Yep, this is weird.’, simply from seeing other adults act in such a fashion, though a degree small enough for her to be able and set aside for that/those time(s) and play along as the ‘mother’ she’d need to be for her friends for the necessary duration. Essentially, brow lifted, entertained smile, and shaking her head, but participating all the same.

I’m not sure what to reply with in regards to Rainbow Dash, save that I realize her dismissal of and subsequent falling in love with (some forms of) reading. I do recall the instance of her being very skittish towards the idea of spa pampering, though I don’t remember the scene where she pivoted into thoroughly enjoying it. (If that change was at the end of the same episode, then I’m just blanking like a goof.) I also haven’t seen Grannies Gone Wild, nor anything from Season 8 or 9 - though it’s on my list of things to do so eventually, I swear! That being said, part of me can very easily see Dash playing with her action figures as a full-grown mare anyway.  ; P  Whether it be occasionally taking them down and re-posing them (if they are the opposable sort), or her shifting and fiddling them through a scene atop a dresser with her hooves - given that she seems like the more visceral type and thereby that much more likely to prefer playing out her mental scenarios with a distinctly physical/visible aspect (evidence being her tendency to ecstatically zoom around, gesture, and pose when talking about things that excite her).

I do agree with most of those points!

However, I think that Twilight would probably go and do a bunch of research into littlespace if Pinkie or Fluttershy told her that it was something that makes them happy. And then I think that Twilight would secretly indulge in it herself. I think that for Twilight it would be a way to reclaim some of the childhood she lost by never engaging in childhood activities because she was too busy studying.

Rarity I think would be confused, then would consider it childish but she wouldn’t be rude about it. She’d probably also be more than happy to help design foalcore clothes for her friends that do indulge in littlespace (maybe she’s the one who made the onesie I drew Flutters in, though it is based off the pajamas she had in Equestria Girls).

Applejack, however, gives off major mom-friend vibes and to me, she seems like someone who’d be a caregiver in a littlespace/agere situation. Like the one that’s there to make sure the “foals” are safe (Pinkie and Flutters having a littlespace playdate is a wholesome image in my brain now, with AJ watching over them and making sure that they can indulge safely).

Rainbow dash for sure *seems* like she’d be against agere or littlespace, but then again, she *seems* like a pony who would hate the spa, or pampering, or things that are “uncool” etc. Yet, we’ve seen that she actually loves that stuff, and she loves indulging herself in things that relax or calm her (and especially in stuff that isn’t seen as cool; she may hide it but it’s been proven that it is her guilty pleasure to do “uncool” things. Also, she’s been shown time and time again that even things that seem uncool, may not be. Grannies Gone Wild is a good example of that). I just imagine her playing with her Wonderbolts action figures, wearing cute little cloud slippers, as her little way to regress. (maybe even while Twilight or AJ read Daring Do to her!!) xD

Right, given the strong affinity for foals she’s demonstrated. Her innately more childish demeanor (not in a bad way) also fits into this quite well. And then, imagining her giggling to herself while starting to experiment with playing with those toys - specifically, her shaking a rattle with her tongue stuck out of a smile and then laughing it off, a bonnet on her head - is an adorable image.

Although, I think I’d argue that the other ManeSix wouldn’t so much be positive about littlespace themselves, with the serious Twilight and Applejack being the most confused and dismissive or derogatory towards the idea (though not necessarily mean towards those participating). I’d expect Rarity to be the most neutral, confounded more than anything without any harsh negativity.

For Rainbow Dash, though, whilst I expect her to be initially uninterested, I’d imagine hearing positive stories/opinions of the activity, particularly from Fluttershy and Pinkie, to pique her curiosity in some fashion, though with her still maintaining / snapping back to a dismissive veneer (possibly even if she does develop her own interest in the concept), given that the concept definitely doesn’t look ‘cool’ from a distance. I wouldn’t imagine her developing any real interest for it by herself, though, given that she’s already got one or two strong relaxers in the form of her carefree napping and chillaxing.

And of course, these opinions are drawn from the angle of presumption that none of the ManeSix had any excessively traumatic experiences when they were young.

…And now, for some reason, I can imagine Silver Spoon participating in something like or some amount of this. Perhaps tangentially related to my strong association with her as a follower-type, and perhaps particularly due to the amount of (subconscious) stress that comes from having to deal with Tiara’s aura so much of the time (and never knowing when Tiara is going to suddenly snap back at her).

Fluttershy really does need a way to unwind. The other pony who I think would be into littlespace is for sure Pinkie Pie, I can see her buying a bunch of toys to indulge in when she’s alone- or even with her friends! I think all of the mane six would be pretty supportive of littlespace.

Hm. Some interesting stuff here that I’ve never really considered before, despite there obviously being a veritable core of support for. I’ve only fleetingly seen bits of age regression - quick clicks and backs while scrolling along - and I’d never encountered mention of littlespace before. For the general definition that Google threw up at the top, it sounds like something easy for a lot of adults to be attracted to, too, at least in spurts. The term itself feels very fitting and a touch sweet, as well - though a ‘sweet’ that has a touch of teetering anxiety to it, for some reason…

And with Fluttershy being one of the softest ponies out there (from several definitions), I can agree with the description. Especially the relaxation part; the poor thing always seemed like she could use a solid chance to unwind, with bonus points if it’s reliable and repeatable.
