Draft Horse, No Remorse

i just did some minor adjustments to some inconsistencies in your art. the primary issue seems to stem from the warped perspective, e.g. her head is at a 180 degree turn but the body maintains a static fixed position independent to this turn. as well as this, anatomically it looks as if every body part belongs to a completely different animal, which is to say none of it really holds within the original style of the drawing. the eyes are too close together, and while i appreciate this as a stylistic choice therefore it really doesn’t hold down as a criticism, hasbro stylization typically only depicts open wings out one at a time unless shown from the front. in terms of actual design, the low contrast between the hair and skin makes it look monotonous and generally uninteresting, and the neon green eyes don’t necessarily compliment this. i’d recommend slightly desaturating the eyes and either darkening the main coat or lightening the hair. you also don’t have a centralized point of light, which makes your shading look random and inconsistent. an easy way to fix this would be to draw a circle from any aspect of the canvas and imagine that as a projected light to keep yourself steady. another issue regarding the design is that it essentially just looks like a rainbow dash ripoff. when designing stylized characters, it’s important to give them a recognisable silhouette, and the silhouette you’ve given to tiger is rather boring and generic. consider adding more personal stylization. the neck also seems to be consistently too long for a pony, making her giraffe-like in nature. there’s also no reason to use colored outlines unless you’re individually coding each aspect (i.e. hair, mane, tail, etc.) because it only adds to the preexisting low con monotony of the piece. the stripes are also out of place, while stripes typically move downwards in FiM characters, yours are horizontal. which could work if applied correctly, but it really isn’t. there’s also too little for it to look like anything but a mistake, really. the wings are disproportionately small for her body and the feather placement is odd. as well as this, the ears are also too small, and very far back. you can also see a strange dip between the forehoof and torso, which is why it’s important to keep a sketch before inking. the forehooves are also significantly longer than the hindhooves, which (realistically) would set her off balance. it’s also strange to keep the secondary wing in view, but not show the other side of her main. all in all, there is much to be improved, a lot of which i haven’t touched on, but i hope to see you improve in the future.
cheers and gut shabbos
