I’ve found it’s better to cut a hole out of the BOTTOM of the pumpkin. It’s stronger so the pumpkin doesn’t start to sag and collapse as quickly, and for some reason it seems to hold out about a day or two longer before developing mold. It’s also way easier to light a candle on a dish and lower the jack-o-lantern over it than to light a candle from straight above or through the carved face.

Is the face on the pumpkin just a drawing or is it actually carved? Serious question. There’s no line around the top, indicating to me that it’s not been cored out yet. Also, the face has no depth detail, just one solid color throughout. I’m probably looking too far into this, but my mind refuses to not ask questions.
