I wished the show expanded on Luna’s adjustment back in Equestria and with her sister more 🥲

My headcanon is she needed some time to reflect before presenting herself to the public once again.
Yep, this was the mindset that I had!
Luna is addorable <3
I mean thats the entire reason, ppl generally love characters with flaws and mystery + lack of screentime for Luna through season 1 & 2 (despite the first 2 ep making her partly a core of the story), made ppl love her more even without knowing much about her. So ye it’s kind of ironic :D, the pony that show presents as ‘being in her sister’s shadow’ is arguably more popular by a margin compared to Celestia.
Thats more of a meta thing, yeah the fandom loves her more than her sister, but if we’re talking purely in-universe, Luna has been overshadowed by her sister. Ponies still sleep through her “beautiful night”, which is the entire reason she became Nightmare Moon. Although, since her banishment, i don’t think that really bothers her anymore. In the comics, Luna is much more excitable than her sister and is more outgoing, but her 1000 year stay on the moon made her more socially akward and introverted. Though she does still seek some attention, atleast from her own sister. Like in Royal Problem when Luna talks about how she’s never appreciated for the work she does at night.
