Hey everyone!
Welcome to another instalment of the “Introducing” series; wherein I introduce you to a character from my roster that has never been depicted by me before. Today it is the turn of Velvet Facade!

Velvet Facade is a 34 year old Thestral mare, formerly of Trotsylvania, but now living in Canterlot City. She is the director’s aide for a prestigious theatre company based there. Known to her friends simply as Velvet, this mare is a most affable and excitable lady, with a deep passion for all of the performing arts!
Physically, Velvet is a little over average height for a thestral mare, and a little underweight, though not dangerously so. She does suffer from the Red Curse of the Thestrals, and does need to regularly consume small amounts of blood to stay healthy. For this purpose, she is supplied with transfusion bags by the Equestrian Health Service.
Additionally, Velvet is very active in spreading awareness of the Red Curse, and when not working or touring with the theatre, can be found working for The Noctis Foundation- a charity set up by Princess Luna for this exact purpose.
Once a young street performer, Velvet was discovered by a talent scouts from the theatre she now works at, and began working there instead. She can act, can sing, and can conduct an orchestra in a pinch, but her first love is the tenor saxophone, a masterwork example of which that her late grandfather bought for her, is her most prized possession.
Velvet is a very friendly mare in general, and is notably excitable and hyperactive. Most that interact with her find this endearing rather than annoying, funnily enough. As she has lived in Canterlot for much of her life, and had elocution lessons, her Trotsylvanian accent is now barely noticeable, and only tends to slip out when she is either drunk or angry- both incredibly rare occurrences.
When it comes to more personal matters, Velvet is a bisexual mare with strong leanings towards xenophilia. Though she has had pony partners in the past, she can more regularly be found hooking up with griffons, dragons, or even humans. Like many Thestral mares, Velvet has no concept of personal space, and adores sharing physical affection with those that she cares about.
