Horse fans have always hated MLP. People who play with and collect Breyer Horses always seem to be berating MLP for opting with fantasy instead of realism.
Rescue from Midnight Castle is still has my favorite canon MLP style. I wish they’d use it again.

You’ve got the point.. I’m just sad that semirealiasm is fading away from the cartoons and they starting to evoke Ren and Stimpy show or the cartoons Disney did in the beginning (you know, the bipedal cow with bezier curves legs).. THIS I certainly don’t like..
No exactly in the cartoon, but in the drawings that are so inspired by it..
I¨ve suggested a bird OR a pegasus.. in case somebody takes exception that ponies aren’t birds. But you are right up to some point (if you consider OR as “+” logic operator)
